ABOUT THIS PROJECT

We offer refugees the tools and resources to gain information on their asylum application process and requirements. We keep them informed regarding all stages of the process, in order to reduce the uncertainty that families feel in this difficult situation.

We work with the refugee families of PEOPLEHELP to understand and be realistic about the situation in Pakistan. Given the lengthy process, we pair these families with specific helpers/godmothers to provide emotional support and to minimize the impact of this humanitarian drama on their lives. We are also in contact with organizations in our existing network of international resources that can help meet the needs of these refugees.

We have created a support network that allows us to respond quickly to the urgent needs of Afghan refugees in Pakistan. Given how families have been uprooted and how they lack access to even basic services and resources, we work so they can access decent housing, food, education and healthcare in case of emergency. We also support the management of the schools themselves with local partners.

We attend to the basic needs of people who are forced to stay in Pakistan for a long time, defining a project that allows them to achieve their autonomy. We are designing a unique project that can be replicated anywhere in the world so that refugees who are trapped in the second country, in an uncertain limbo, can have a dignified life, their own life!, that does not depend on charity of governments or organizations. Listening to families and other organizations on the ground, we define tools for their autonomy and lead implementation projects, seeking the necessary resources for them to be executed.
